The focus for our Finch class is play! We understand that an older 2 year old might be ready for more time at school than a younger one, so we offer both 1-day and 2-day classes, which give our families more flexibility.
For our Chickadees, play and learning go hand-in-hand. Class time is a chance to solve problems, investigate, use language, gain social skills and respond to new situations during our twice-weekly meetings.
On any given day in the Robins class, you will see children engaged in play activities that help them grow emotionally, intellectually, physically and socially. The “work” of our 4 year olds is play, and it allows the children to select what they do, how long they do it, how they do it, and with whom they do it.
The goal for our Kinderbirds is to prepare them for first grade, guided by Indiana standards, common core standards, and the children’s interests. In our kindergarten class, children learn through active exploration and social interaction, which is how children this age learn best.
